Meet The Team
Chris Futcher
As the owner of the company Chris takes pride in all work that passes through, especially for quality control. His forty years experience in the printing industry cannot be underestimated. Though his main expertise is in the pre-press area of colour management, he has spent much time assisting in the press room and finishing departments with a 'hands on' approach to the industry for which he has a true passion. Chris has an ITEK diploma in colour scanning and a City & Guilds Credit in Composing. Chris is also part of the estimating team.
Daren Bilner
As production manager, Daren is responsible for making sure that every job is produced to your satisfaction and delivered on time. His finishing expertise is second to none and his ability to progress a job through all the different processes ensures the success of any project. Together with Chris, Daren also manages quality control of everything produced and is part of Schwartz’s estimating team.
Stewart Fixter
As Sales manager, Stewart is responsible for making sure that all our client’s needs are tendered to and is constantly on the look out for new business opportunities. Stewart is renowned for his eye to detail and in conjunction with Daren keeps an eye on production and quality control. Stewart has 27 years of experience in the industry starting out with a City & Guilds Distinction in ‘Design for Printing’ and has had hands on knowledge from Design & Reprographics to Gold Foil Blocking , Embossing and Die-cutting as well as colour printing.
Stewart is also part of the estimating team.
Christina Watson Ba Hons
As financial administrator, Christina ensures the smooth running of the company. She combines being the health and safety officer with being the first aider. In-fact she is the hub of the business taking care of all the accounts and credit control.
Ian Jackson
Ian has many years experience within Graphic Design and pre-press and has gained a Certificate of Achievement from Screen in Trueflow Operation. Ian can both advise on the construction and transmission of artwork. Ian will check your artwork when it arrives, make sure you receive your digital or PDF proofs - usually within 24 hours - and run out colour matched plates on receipt of your signed-off proof. Ian will also be happy to undertake any minor amendments to your artwork if required.
Production Team
It is worth noting that all of our skilled employees have been indentured and have completed at least a four year apprenticeship within the printing industry. We have well over 100 years of combined service within the industry and feel that our pooled knowledge base is second to none. Each and every aspect of the production processes has specialist skilled operators that have had years of expertise within that particular field. i.e. reprographics, printing and print finishing.
We endeavour to advise and aid throughout the entire production process especially if we see something that we feel may be detrimental to the finished job. We will NOT just push on with a project just for the sake of getting it out of the door.
